Friday, 8/05
Agenda
1. Spelling Test #3
2. Julius Caesar: Act IV, Scene 1 (IV.1)
HW: 1-finish sketchbook entry of IV.1
We took the usual Friday Spelling Test. Then we read Act IV, Scene 1 from Caesar, and learned about the condition of Rome after Caesar's death: control had been taken over by Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus. Then we began IV.2, where, meanwhile, the conspirators (Brutus and Cassius) are outside Rome, gathering troops. However, Brutus is beginning to feel Cassius is not the same friend as before.
Our homework is to complete a sketchbook entry on IV.1, which is to write a 5 sentence summary, a 5+ sentence response, and illustrate something from the scene. We haven't finished IV.2, so we do not need to a sketchbook entry for that scene yet.
